Hello, I'm
Fatou‑Anaïs
She/her
I design for constraints: regulations, role‑based structures, and complex workflows.
I've worked in small SaaS teams where ownership meant defining flows, resolving edge cases, and collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to turn requirements and users' needs into solutions people rely on.
Automating subscription management in a complex system
Designed an automated subscription system to support complex pricing rules while reducing errors, manual work and edge cases.

Centralising communication while enabling supervision of minor accounts
Designed an in-app messaging hub to centralise conversations and notifications, improving visibility, access control, and clarity across different user roles within the product.

Updating a design system in a growing product
Reworked the design system to improve consistency, documentation, and team workflows.

Shipping a portfolio with AI tools
Used AI at every stage: project scope, design system optimisation, accessibility audit and code.

Asking the right questions
I take time to understand context and constraints before shaping solutions.
Systems thinking
I design products as a whole, across roles and platforms.
End-to-end design
I've designed features from 0→1 and beyond.
Balancing trade-offs
I design where user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility meet.
Outcome over ego
I care more about the best solution than about being right.
Comfort with ambiguity
I can take initiative and move work forward when structure, answers, or processes aren't fully defined.
Before product design
Looking back, design has always been a thread running through my life.
In fashion, who you design for shapes every decision: specific contexts, tastes, and occasions, within constraints like materials, movement, and production.
Organising festivals meant managing controlled chaos: coordinating large technical teams, working under tight deadlines and changing conditions, and iterating — each edition built on the last. The constant: "the show must go on."
After seeing how internal tools can either support or slow people down, I transitioned into product design. I learned UX/UI while working full time, volunteered with Les Internettes, a non-profit supporting FLINTA creators on YouTube, freelanced, and then joined Kurabu. There, I spent over two years designing within constraints such as GDPR compliance, billing regulations, and multi-role access during a period of 3x ARR growth.
"Anaïs took the time to deeply understand the problem (our goals, our users, and their environment), then effortlessly turned that insight into clear, beautifully crafted designs."

Head of Product & Design

A sporty, hands-on person
Since moving to Berlin, I became a bike person, something I never expected. I now repair old bikes. My favourite is Paul, a 1979 Peugeot race bike. I chose this brand because, like me, it's from Normandy, France.
Sport is how I keep myself grounded and energised. I move between running, weightlifting, and HIIT, depending on the day.
I also sew and alter my own clothes. Fashion never really left my life.

Me and my favourite bike, Paul.
